Christmas Eve

The Christmas Eve “Carols and Lessons Service” will be held at 7:00 p.m. The service will end with the lighting of the candles followed by everyone singing “Silent Night” in the darkened sanctuary, symbolizing the meaning of Christmas; the birth of The One who is the Light of the World.

Christmas Cantata

The Choir will be presenting their Christmas Cantata “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” during the morning worship service on December 15th. Following the service there will be a special Christmas coffee and fellowship time downstairs, hosted by the choir. That Sunday, the choir will also be officially launching the release of their CD.
(There will not be a coffee and fellowship time the next week as would normally be the case).

Collection for Evangel Hall

During the month of December we will once again be collecting good used winter clothing and toiletries for the Evangel Hall Mission.

Communion

The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated Sunday, December 1st. You are also invited to support the local food bank with gifts of non-perishable food or money designated for the food bank in your regular offering envelope.

Christmas Pot-Luck

The congregational Christmas Party and Pot-Luck Dinner will be held on Friday, December 6th beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Ladies Fellowship

The Ladies Fellowship Group will be going to the “Risposta Bistro” (at 24 Crawford Crescent in Campbellville) for lunch on Monday, December 2nd at noon. All other women interested in joining the group for lunch are most welcome. Please let Shirley Lawrence know if you plan on attending.

Presbyterian Connection Paper

For those who are interested, copies of the national church’s newspaper, Presbyterian Connection, are available at the back of the church.

At the end of last year the “Presbyterian Record” ceased to publish. In its place the National Church will be printing a “newspaper” four times a year; this will be print only. If you are interested in receiving the newspaper you may subscribe for it yourself on the National Church’s website (www.presbyterian.ca).
